Ran Out of Fuel? Emergency Fuel Delivery Across Essex
Run out of petrol or diesel? We bring enough fuel to get you to the nearest open station, anywhere in Essex, day or night. If it still won't go, we're mechanics with a recovery truck, so you're not left stuck. One fixed price agreed before we set off.
Petrol or diesel · No breakdown cover needed · Fixed upfront price · Cash or card
Just run out? Do this first
- If the car is still rolling, get it off the road: a lay-by, a side road, a car park or the hard shoulder. Hazard lights on.
- On a fast road (the A127, A13, A130, A12 or the M25), get everyone out on the side away from the traffic and wait behind the barrier. Leave pets in the car.
- If you've stopped in a live lane and can't get out safely, stay in with your seatbelt on and hazards on, call 999 and ask for the police.
- Then call or WhatsApp us where you are: the road, the nearest junction or landmark, or a postcode. Your reg tells us petrol or diesel.
How emergency fuel delivery works
Tell us where you are
Call or WhatsApp your location and reg. The reg tells us if it's petrol or diesel, so we bring the right one.
Fixed price before we set off
One price on the phone for coming out and the fuel. Nothing added at the roadside. Cash or card.
Fuel in, you're moving
We put in enough to get you to the nearest open station, where you fill up at pump prices. If it won't restart, we look at it there or recover it.
Out of fuel, and what else we can sort
Run out of petrol
Gauge on empty and the car's coasted to a stop. We bring petrol and put it in, and you drive to the next station.
Run out of diesel
Some diesels won't restart after running dry until the fuel system is primed. We're mechanics, so we can usually do that at the roadside.
Fuel in but it won't restart
If it still won't go once there's fuel in, we look at it there. If it needs a garage, we recover it, to yours or ours.
Put the wrong fuel in
Don't start the engine. Push it somewhere safe if you can and call us. We'll recover it and tell you the price first.
Stopped somewhere awkward
Blocking a junction, on a narrow lane, or nowhere safe to work? We recover it to a safe spot or straight home.
Car won't start for another reason? Flat battery callout or 24/7 car recovery.
Where we bring fuel
Everywhere in Essex from our Shoeburyness base, quickest across the SS postcodes. Tap your town for local roads and recovery, or just call and tell us where you are.
Why call us when you've run out
24/7, every day
Late at night, when the station you were counting on has shut, we still answer.
Fixed price, upfront
Call-out and fuel in one price on the phone. Nothing added at the roadside.
No membership
No breakdown cover to buy at the roadside. You pay for this one job.
Mechanics, not just a fuel van
If it won't restart, we can fix it there or recover it on our own truck.
Ran out of fuel: frequently asked
How much does emergency fuel delivery cost?
It depends on where you are, so we tell you one fixed price on the phone before we set off: the call-out and the fuel we bring. Nothing is added at the roadside. Cash or card. Call or WhatsApp your location for a straight answer.
How much fuel do you bring?
Enough to get you safely to the nearest open petrol station, where you can fill up at normal pump prices. That keeps the cost down: you're not paying call-out rates for a full tank.
Do I need breakdown cover or a membership?
No. There's nothing to join and no annual fee. You pay once, for this one job, at the price we agree on the phone. Calling a national breakdown service without cover means joining on the spot or paying their non-member fee, and the fuel on top.
Will my diesel start again after running out?
Often yes, after a few turns of the key once there's fuel in. Some diesels pull air into the fuel system when they run dry and need priming before they'll run. We're a garage, not just a fuel van, so we can usually sort that at the roadside. If it still won't go, we recover it.
I've put the wrong fuel in. Can you help?
Yes. Don't start the engine, and on many cars don't even switch the ignition on, because that can start the fuel pump and move the wrong fuel through the system. Push the car somewhere safe if you can, then call us. We'll recover it to your garage or ours and tell you the price before we set off.
I've run out on the A127, A13 or the M25. Can you come?
Yes, we cover the A127, A13, A130 and A12 across Essex. Get everyone out on the side away from the traffic and wait behind the barrier first. On the M25 or the A12, if you're in an emergency area or on the hard shoulder, call National Highways on 0300 123 5000 before anyone else, and don't drive out of an emergency area without speaking to them. If they or the police are already with you, follow their instructions. Then call us with the nearest junction or marker post.
Is it illegal to run out of fuel?
Running out isn't an offence in itself. But if you run out on a motorway and stop somewhere dangerous, the police can treat an avoidable stop as careless driving, which can mean a £100 fine and three points. If you're running low on a fast road, leave at the next exit or services rather than pushing on.
How quickly can you get to me?
We're based in Shoeburyness (SS3) and we're quickest across the SS postcodes: Southend, Leigh, Rayleigh, Rochford, Benfleet and Canvey. The far side of Essex can be an hour or more, so we give you an honest ETA on the phone before you commit.
Are you open at night and at weekends?
Yes, 24 hours a day, every day, including late at night when the station you were counting on has shut. Call or WhatsApp whenever it happens.
