What your Audi A6 is actually worth at scrap
A6s carry higher scrap value than A4 or A3 for two simple reasons: they're heavier (more steel) and they carry more valuable parts. The 3.0 TDI V6 — fitted to most C6 and C7 A6s — is in constant demand at VAG breakers because it's also used in the VW Touareg, Porsche Cayenne, and Audi Q7. Air suspension struts, MMI screens, and full leather interior trim also sell at near-retail.
Catalytic converter alone: £250-£600 on petrol/diesel — high precious metal content. If yours has been stolen or removed, expect roughly £80-£200 off the typical range — we'll factor it in honestly when you send the reg, not surprise you on collection.
What breakers buy your Audi A6 for
We don't just sell your car as raw steel. We shop it to specialist breakers who pay premium for the parts that hold value on this model:

Recent Audi A6 we collected
"Picked up a 2011 A6 3.0 TDI quattro saloon from Chelmsford last month — air suspension had failed on three corners and the quote to fix was £2,400. Car was otherwise immaculate, full service history, 118k miles. Paid £360 cash. The engine alone went to a breaker who specialises in Audi/VW V6s."

A6s we collect tend to be 10-15 years old, often a director or executive who ran the car as a daily for years. Repair bills on aging air suspension, dual-mass flywheels, and gearbox mechatronic units typically tip the cost-of-ownership scales toward scrapping.
How it works
1. WhatsApp us with your reg
Send the registration number, the model, and a quick description of the condition (running, non-running, MOT failure, etc.). One photo is helpful but not essential.
2. We shop your Audi A6 around and quote you
We get prices from the licensed scrap yards and specialist breakers we work with — the people who pay top whack for Audi parts in particular — and come back to you with the best one. Usually within minutes. No obligation if you don't like the number.
3. We collect, pay you, and handle the paperwork
Once you accept, we arrange a collection time that suits you — same-day where possible. We pay you cash on collection, take the car to a licensed Authorised Treatment Facility, and make sure your DVLA notification and Certificate of Destruction come through properly.
Any condition — we'll take it
We collect Audi A6s in any state, including:
Audi A6 scrap — frequently asked
My A6's air suspension is dropped. Does that lower the scrap price?
Slightly, but not as much as you'd think. Air suspension failure is one of the most common reasons A6s come to us — the breakers we work with rebuild and resell air struts, so even failed units have value. Expect £50-£100 off the typical range, not £200+.
What about Audi RS6 or S6? Are those worth more?
Significantly more. RS6 starts around £1,500-£3,000+ as a complete car because of the engine, ceramic brakes, wheels, and interior. S6 is roughly £800-£1,500. WhatsApp us the reg and we'll quote properly — these aren't standard scrap territory.
Will you collect my A6 if it's in a private car park or storage unit?
Yes. We collect from driveways, lock-ups, mechanic's yards, multi-storey car parks, and storage units across Essex and the UK. We just need access agreed with whoever holds the keys to the location.
Do I need to be there when you collect the car?
Yes — we'll need to see your ID, the V5C if you have it, and have you sign the disposal paperwork. The whole collection takes about 10-15 minutes.
What if I've lost the V5C (logbook)?
Not a problem. We can still collect — we'll help you handle the DVLA notification. It just takes a little longer to process.
Will I get a Certificate of Destruction?
Yes. We deliver every car to a licensed Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF) and the CoD comes through to you within 7-14 days. This is what legally clears you of any future liability for the car.
